8:00p.m. - Henderson Pavilion
Under the baton of Taras Krysa, the Henderson Symphony Orchestra will close its 2007-2008 Master Series with Gustav Mahler's Symphony #1 in D Major "Titan." Mahler's symphonic masterpiece is a mixture of tragedy and humor, sorrow and irony with the grotesque and the sublime echoing the continual conflict between idealism and realism. Henderson Symphony Orchestra audiences will surely feel the passion and pain inherent in Mahler's 19th century musical classic.
