The Henderson Symphony Orchestra's final Master Series concert of this 21st Anniversary Season will feature Gustav Mahler's powerful 'TITAN' Symphony No.1 in D Major - 8pm, Friday, May 16, 2008 at the Henderson Pavilion 200 S. Green Valley Parkway.
Under the baton of Music Director and Conductor, Taras Krysa, the Henderson Symphony Orchestra will share Mahler's musical journey from the birdsongs of nature to the wayfarer's tune of the fields then through a foot-stomping dance scherzo and a sad funeral march followed by a thunderous 'flash of lighting from a dark cloud' that will lead the audience to a victorious and jubilant musical conclusion.
Experience this powerful 'TITAN' musical celebration by the Henderson Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of Taras Krysa, 8pm, Friday, May 16, 2008. One hour prior to the performance David Green hosts a Pre-Concert Discussion that will introduce audience members to the intriguing history behind the day's musical repertoire.
This Master Series IV Concert is part of the Henderson Symphony Orchestra's 21st anniversary season and is free to the public. Seating is on a first come first-served basis. The City of Henderson Cultural Arts and the Henderson Symphony Orchestra are sponsoring this performance.
